Community Involvement
Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts
The Pettit Environmental Preserve is proud of our tradition of supporting scouting at all levels.
Several Boy Scouts have completed their Eagle Scout projects at The Preserve, providing leadership and labor to complete the Lakeside Amphitheater, Tree ID posts, bench/picnic tables for the Learning Shed and the Frog Pit.
Girl Scouts visit to complete badge requirements and are welcome to complete their Gold award. We are excited about working with these young people as they develop a true love for nature.
The Pettit Preserve works with interested service or community group. For a presentation to your group or to find out how you can become involved, contact; Marina Robertson, Executive Director (678) 848-4179 or email director@pettitpreserve.org
